John Toews

A previous faculty member at the University of Manitoba, Dr. Toews joined the Department of Psychiatry of the University of Calgary in 1988 where he focused on various aspects of medical education. Now retired from his clinical practice, Dr. Toews was appointed professor emeritus of Psychiatry at the University of Calgary, Canada in 2008. Dr. Toews has studied extensively the relationships between spirituality and health. He continues to explore and write about the human journey and the benefits of spiritual practices on health and wellbeing.
